The opportunity
Auyán-tepui is one of the oldest places on Earth, and the multisensorial trek to its summit takes you and your group through an inward and outward journey of ever-changing landscapes that are better left undescribed and undefined. No hype, no words. Unveiling the adjectives is up to you.
The journey ends the only way something this rare could. You step off the wall of Auyán-tepui and BASE beside the tallest waterfall in the world.
The journey
From the Kamarata valley, up onto Auyán-tepui, across its summit to the exit point, and off the wall beside Angel Falls.
We pick you up at the airport and gather the team for a meet-and-greet dinner and a good night's sleep in a 4-star hotel.
Two flights take us from the civilized world into the quiet valley of Kamarata, the Pemón village where you leave who you were behind.
The team is together and assembled, and a walk through the savanna takes us up the first step towards the summit of Auyán.
The savanna fades away into a new horizon of ever-changing, indescribable landscape. Your journey inward takes hold. Now it's you, your friends and the Tepui, moving across the summit toward the BASE exit of the falls.
A two-day window for two jumps. Ample time to study the wall, the winds and the landing, and to wait for the right conditions. On the right window you step off the wall of Auyán-tepui and fall beside the tallest waterfall on Earth. A helicopter stands by to recover your gear, lower it to the bottom of the falls and pick you up once again for your second jump. That night is our last one in the jungle.
The group boards a curiara and, via the Churún and Carrao rivers, we bid farewell and secure the memories of what could be the most special trip of your life. An afternoon in the small town of Canaima lets you assimilate the welcome of civilization.
We take you to the airport and stay with you till your plane has taken off. By now, we're friends for life.

The BASE explorer
This is the hard line, and we don't move it. The Angel Falls BASE jump is open only to current, experienced BASE jumpers who are proficient and in shape. The landing zone is precise. During the journey you trek roughly 35 miles of ever-changing and sometimes scrambly terrain to reach an exit off a 3,000-foot wall. You have to be in strong hiking condition, comfortable with a multi-day effort in a remote, disconnected and uninhabited area, and fully current on your own equipment and skillset. The jump is always yours to make or to pass on, and the mountain and the weather decide the rest. The satellite phone is for emergencies; everything else is your own gift to feel like the rest of the world doesn't exist.
The Angel Falls BASE Jump is therefore by application and vetting only.
